No iPad 3, the new iPad is simply called “New iPad.”
Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced the New iPad on Wednesday and “retina display” screen and a chip offering improved graphics.
As expected, many people were disappointed that the new iPad does not have any “wow” factors. I think the key is managing expectations. People are expecting a lot from Apple, but I think there’s only so much Apple can do and it’s difficult for companies to release revolutionary gadgets time and time again. Hopefully the ‘Newer iPad‘ in the future will be able to match consumers’ expectations.
Whether you like it or not, Apple is still going to sell many New iPads in the market. iPad 1 users will definitely be tempted to switch to the New iPad. The question is, will iPad 2 users go for it? How about you? Are you going to get the New iPad?
The New iPad is available on March 16, but the preorder starts today. It will be available in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia.
Like the previous iPad 2, the new iPad starts at $499 for a Wi-Fi-only model with 16GB, $599 for a 32 GB version, and $699 for 64 GB. Models with 4G data ago for $629, $729 and $829, respectively.
